Inclusion & Funding Assistance

At OSC, we believe that skating is an activity for everyone, regardless of their circumstances.

We are committed to making our programs accessible to all, which is why we accept funding assistance through various grant programs.

 
We accept funding assistance through the following grant programs

KidSport 

JumpStart

JumpStart is a national funding assistance program, offered through Canadian Tire.

Alberta Figure Skating Foundation

  • The Alberta Figure Skating Foundation provides financial assistance, scholarships, and resources to skaters, coaches, and clubs to help them achieve their goals.
  • AFSF accepts individual, family and Club memberships, and some of the benefits include discounted rates at AFSF sponsored clinics, Triple/Quad Gold Awards and summer funding assistance (details are provided on their website).

IMPORTANT

- - ALL FUNDING IS REIMBURSED - -

All programming fees MUST be paid upfront and before the skater takes to the ice. 
Approved funding payments are sent directly from the funding program to OSC.  
OSC Admin will contact you once payment is received and a reimbursement is ready. 

 

Steps to Completing Funding Assistance at OSC

To apply for funding, please complete the following steps.

  1. Visit the funding program website and verify you qualify for funding. 
  2. Register and pay for your skaters registration in the OSC program of your choice on the OSC website. 
  3. Complete the funding application(s) online (external sites - not affiliated with OSC).
  4. Once approved, please contact our Registrar with the approval notice. 
  5. Once OSC receives your grant, our Registar will contact you to notify you when the funds will be reimbursed to you. 

NOTE: Funding may take up to 6 - 8 weeks to arrive.
