OSC Bottle Drive
Let's get out there and fundraise!
We are hosting a bottle drive and we'd love for our skating families to get involved!
Date: Saturday, September 12, 2026
Time: Door-to-door collection from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm approx
Location: Meeting Locations TBD
How it Will Work
Teams of OSC skaters and parent volunteers will head out into neighbourhoods throughout Okotoks to collect refundable bottles and cans door-to-door.
Each team will include skaters and adult volunteers, with a parent volunteer providing a truck or other suitable vehicle whenever possible.
All proceeds will support the Okotoks Skating Club ice show scheduled for April 2027!
Why Fundraise?
This bottle drive will help our team get a head start on preparations for the Ice Show coming in April 2027, giving us the funds we need to begin creating decor, props and other show materials!
We Need Volunteers!
There are lots of ways to help! Families can volunteer to:
🚚 Provide and drive a truck or suitable collection vehicle
⛸️ Send skaters out to collect bottles and cans
👟 Walk with and supervise groups of skaters
♻️ Help collect, carry and load donations
🙌 Assist with drop-off and other tasks as needed
We especially need trucks! The more collection vehicles and volunteers we have, the more neighbourhoods we can cover.
Eligible parent volunteer hours will be tracked for OSC volunteer credits

Please complete ONE volunteer form per family. All skaters/families are welcome to help but please register your skater early so we can plan ahead!
The registration form will close by Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
Once registration closes, volunteer teams and collection areas will be organized. Participating families will receive their team assignment, collection area, meeting location and day-of instructions.
